Department of Structural Policy of the EU and Rural Development
History and relevance for instruction
The structural policy of the EU and regional development has been lectured on at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of South Bohemia since 1998 in relation to preparation of the CR accession to the EU. The topics are lectured on within the framework of the following courses: Regional Management, Regional Project Planning, Human Resources Management and Development of small- and mid-size business activities.
The department was established on Jan 1, 2007.
The establishment of an independent field and the department focusing on the EU, structural funds and rural policy was initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Development, and cooperation with the Agriculture Economics Research Institute in Prague is assumed.
Job opportunities for graduates of the studies:
Higher positions in the state or self-administration authorities, in the private sector and in non-profit organizations using means from the EU structural funds.
